Thanks to Les Adams (co-author of the 1978 book Shoot-em Ups with Buck Rainey) for the 1946 film THE GENTLEMAN MISBEHAVES. I don't have any cards or still on this film,The Gentleman Misbehaves, Columbia 1946. Here are a couple of ads showing Shemp (barely) and the cast/credits/story listing. The Robert Stanton in this was was singer/actor Bob Haymes (brother of Dick Haymes) who changed his name to avoid being confused with his brother. What transpired WAS confusion, because Kirby Grant prior to 1941 also used the name of Robert Stanton and everybody in the world (except me and one other maybe) credits this as a Kirby Grant film, including the IMDb, which is not surprising considering the multitude of errors they have posted.
